I'm thrilled! I sold one of my dolls! YAY!!!!!!

And I'm done school for now! DOUBLE YAY!!!!!!

I hate waiting. Especially when the thing I'm waiting for doesn't arrive.

I want to sell Candy Apple and Jade soon because I'm CRAVING to do more customs- I even got the most AMAZING blond mohair.

So, back to the waiting. I want to sell the dolls fully stocked with outfits and shoes so I ordered some off thisisblythe in late May and they didn't come which makes me very sad. I've only ever had good experiences with TIB and when I told Gina she was lovely about getting me a refund. But I had hoped to have them up for sale in June. Anyway, I've ordered 3 similar dresses from e-bay (one is actually the exact same) so now I'm waiting for them to get here.

I was going to put the dolls up on e-bay but I think I'm just going to go through the forum.

Possible Blythe meet this summer. W00T. I've never met anyone else who collects so I'm super excited.

I think that until I figure out where exactly my life is headed, I'm going to open a small daycare in Pugwash.
I'd make good money, get to play with kids, and I wouldn't have to find a babysitter for Rhiannon which has been a major aspect of why I'm jobless.

I just want to sleep past 5am...just once...Plz? If it isn't the baby, it's the cat. If it isn't the cat it's the people playing in our yard (what?! Who does this??).

So as you know, or maybe don't know, I'm currently finishing up my Marketing Certificate and I'm doing 2 of my last 3 classes right now.
On June 30th I have 2 assignments and a mid-term due for one of these classes, Retail Management. So I was perusing through the course website yesterday online to find a message from my teacher saying "I'm away on vacation from June 23-July 3"...

Now I wait for my friend Sara to send me some one of a kind dresses and up on to e-bay they go!!

I'm so in love with them...It will be sad to see them go, but with the money I'm going to get the three pack of prima dollies (Aubrey, Saffy and Ashlet) and then I'm going to customize again. I already know what I'm going to do with them.

Tomorrow I'm joining the gym in town. I've been feeling very unattractive recently and I NEED to do something about it. I think I'm going to try to cut out sugar from my diet too.
This means no coffee...Could be rough for the next little while, but I'm sure the rewards of feeling healthy and pretty will outweigh all that.

New blythe is here...and unfortunately, the scalp switcheroo didn't work.
Now I have to come up with Plan B. I have some green mohair coming and I have an extra scalp...so I think I'll just keep Dainty as she is (mohair reroot plus Licca body) and then give Pleasant Peasant the green mohair. Their faces are looking awesome. I've carved their lips and noses, and Dainty's eyeholes. Replaced the eyelashes and eye chips. I'm really happy with the way it's all going.

And on a totally unrelated note: One more week and I get to see my guy!! YAY!! He'll be here for a few days and I'm trying to come up with a plan o' attack. So much to see and do, so little time to do it.
Also, while he's here I'm going to have to get school work done which sucks. E-Commerce and Supply Chain Management, and Retail Management. DULL DULL DULL.
I got my Dog Grooming diploma yesterday. That kinda rocks.

Well the dolly is coming along nicely. I have re-rooted her scalp with mohair which took about 3 days and turned my hands into bloody mush, but it was so worth it because she looks AWESOME.
Now I'm just waiting for my Licca body and Pleasant Peasant to get here so I can switch some scalps, bodies and faces. Pleasant is getting Dainty's mohaired scalp, Dainty is getting Pleasant's blonde hair. I figured out how to change eye chips so as soon as they come in I can start working on them. WOOOHOO!! Too much fun.




Things are going very nicely with the new man in my life...If only he didn't live so far away. UGH! I should have stayed in Ontario, just not in Almonte. I miss my peeps.
Yeah, I said "peeps"...I'm all hardcore like that.

Rhiannon's new obsession is shoes...She wanders around the house saying "shoes...shoes...shoes..." while she gathers up all the footwear she can find and then puts them in a neat pile.

Rhiannon, of course. Also, a salivary gland when I was 12. I had a build up of calcium stones in my throat which the doctors tried to remove by STICKING NEEDLES UNDER MY TONGUE...Which didn't work.

Something during the move. I think the couch was the last thing I pulled out of my house.

I have made a very important decision. I was going to buy Can Can Cat in May when she comes out, but I've decided instead to buy an Ashton Drake Blythe and customize her. The AD dolls are quite a bit cheaper than the Takara ones so I'd be saving a bunch of money. Then, I will attempt to sell the customized girl on Ebay. I have some great design ideas and I'm getting really good with lip, nose and eye carving so I'm sure I could make a very interesting, unique doll.

A few days ago, Rhiannon was watching me sand matte Dainty Biscuit's face and she reaches up, grabs a piece of sand paper and runs away. Three minutes later she comes back with one of her own dolls. She sits down next to me and starts sanding its head!
It was the cutest thing EVER.

This morning I was awoken by a baby sitting on my head.

I've done some work on my Blythes recently, most of it on Dainty Biscuit, and I like the way it's going although there's a number of things I want to change.
So far I have matted her face, repainted her lips and added more of a smile, given her pink eyelids and eyeshadow, cut her hair (which will be replaced by pink, blue, and white mohair), and changed her pull string. I'm going to give her blue, pink, white and purple eyechips.

My other Blythe, My Best Friend, has just been given more defined lips, freckles, and a new pull string.

The pull string jewels for both of them are Sworovski crystals.



Here you can see the difference between the matte face and the shiny stock face. I think I like matte better.
